Why PayPal May Decline Vanilla Cards

Step 1 — Register the Vanilla Card

Go to the card issuer’s registration page (for example, vanillagift.com), enter the card number, expiry, and CVV, then add your full name and billing address. Use the exact address when adding the card to PayPal.

If Adding Fails — Guest Checkout

Use PayPal Guest Checkout on a merchant site: choose “Pay with Debit or Credit Card” (no login), enter the Vanilla card details and billing address, and complete a one‑time purchase. This doesn’t link the card to PayPal but lets you spend the balance.

Convert the Card if Needed

If linking and guest checkout fail, consider converting the card: buy a small item and resell, or use a reputable exchange to sell the card for PayPal, crypto, or bank transfer. Always use trusted services and keep receipts.
